How Photo From Emoji handles photos, browser processing, analytics, cookies, and contact data.
Last updated: 2026-08-11
Your photos stay in the browser
The current Photo From Emoji generator processes uploaded images locally in your browser. Your photo does not need to be uploaded to our server to create an emoji image, and the current tool does not send your uploaded photo to an AI image-generation API.
Generated results are drawn on a browser canvas and can be downloaded by you as a PNG.
Information we may collect
Because the core tool works without signup, we do not need account information for normal use. We may collect limited information in these situations:
- Basic usage analytics: Page views, device type, browser type, referring pages, interactions with the generator, and similar usage signals when analytics are enabled.
- Technical logs: Server request logs needed for security, debugging, uptime, and abuse prevention.
- Contact information: Your email address and message content if you contact us directly.
- Preferences: Browser-stored preferences such as locale or theme when supported by the site.
Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies
The site may use cookies, local storage, pixels, web beacons, or similar technologies to support language selection, theme preferences, security, analytics, advertising, or basic site functionality. These technologies may process browser and device information, referring pages, interactions, IP addresses, or other identifiers.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect analytics, advertising choices, or some site behavior.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage, such as visited pages, general geographic region, device and browser type, traffic source, engagement, and use of core features. Google processes this data under its own terms and privacy policies. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, uploaded photos, or other directly identifying contact information to Google Analytics.

Google advertising and third-party vendors
We may use Google AdSense to display advertising. When advertising is enabled:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, depending on consent, settings, location, and applicable law.
- Google and other authorized advertising vendors may place or read cookies, or use web beacons, IP addresses, device information, and other identifiers to provide, measure, personalize, limit, and protect advertising.
- Information may be shared with Google and other authorized advertising technology providers for these purposes under their respective policies.
You can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. You may also be able to opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising through AboutAds.
Before any non-Google advertising vendor serves ads on this site, we will identify the applicable vendors and purposes through the consent management platform's vendor list and provide the relevant vendor information there or update this policy.
Consent for users in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland
Before enabling advertising, and where required, we will configure a Google-certified consent management platform that integrates with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. It will request and record choices about cookies, local storage, personalized advertising, and related personal-data processing for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Once enabled, the consent message will provide options to consent, decline where available, manage vendors and purposes, and revisit choices.
The availability and wording of consent controls may vary by country and applicable law. A consent choice does not affect the browser-local processing of uploaded photos by the core generator.
Third-party services
We may use third-party services for hosting, analytics, advertising, email, security, or source links for example materials. These services may process limited technical data according to their own terms and privacy policies.
The current image conversion workflow does not require third-party image processing for your uploaded photos.

We use limited data to:
- Operate and improve the website.
- Understand which pages and features are useful.
- Debug errors and improve browser compatibility.
- Respond to messages you send us.
- Prevent abuse and protect the service.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited data only when needed to operate, analyze, secure, or advertise the site; comply with legal obligations; protect rights and safety; or work with service providers and authorized advertising technology providers under their applicable terms and restrictions.
Children
Photo From Emoji is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through contact messages, please contact us and we will review the request.
Your choices
You can avoid sending personal information by using the tool without contacting us and by not sharing private photos in feedback messages. You can also control cookies through your browser, use the advertising and consent controls described above when available, and request deletion of contact messages you sent to us.
Retention and privacy rights
We retain contact messages, technical logs, analytics data, and related records only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, according to configured retention settings, security needs, legal obligations, and applicable provider terms.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with an appropriate data protection authority. Contact us to make a request. Service providers may process data in countries other than your own under their terms and applicable data-transfer requirements.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the site. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send sensitive personal photos or confidential files in support messages.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product changes. The updated date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last revised.
